A man claims that his co-worker hit him on the head

NEW ORLEANS— A man is seeking damages, claiming that a co-worker physically attacked him.

Herbert Crockett filed a suit against HRI Properties LLC and Joseph Holmes in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on June 28.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was in a meeting at HRI's office with his supervisor on Jan. 12, 2016. The suit states that the plaintiff brought up several of his concerns about Holmes but upon Holmes becoming angry was told by the supervisor that he and Holmes must leave. The following day, the suit states that the plaintiff was physically attacked by Holmes by being struck on the head, resulting in alleged injuries to his head.

The defendant is accused of deliberate and intentional battery of the plaintiff.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. He is represented by Joseph S. Fiacun, Thomas A. Gennusa II and Reid S. Uzee.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Tiffany G. Chase.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case number 16-6478.
