Delgado Community College claims former student did not pay for attending in fall 2012

NEW ORLEANS – A community college alleges that a student failed to pay for attending the college.

The Louisiana Community and Technical College System through Delgado Community College filed a suit against Pamala Thomas in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on July 20.

According to the claim, the defendant was a student at the community college in the fall of 2012. The suit states that despite receiving services from the plaintiff, the defendant failed to make payments for the more than $1,000 that she owed.

The defendant is accused of open account through failing to pay for the services rendered to her.

The plaintiff is seeking $1,071.45 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Wendy Ramnarine of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Piper D. Griffin.
