Medical center files suit over allegedly unpaid bill

NEW ORLEANS – A Louisiana corporation is seeking damages, claiming that a New Orleans man failed to pay for the goods received from it.

Amory HMA LLC, doing business as Gilmore Memorial Regional Medical Center, filed a suit against Dave Best in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on July 5.

According to the claim, the plaintiff sold goods and services to the defendant under the agreement that the defendant would pay the full amount of $3,870.19. The suit states that despite written demands from the plaintiff, the defendant has failed to pay.

The defendant is accused of open account through failing to make payments to the plaintiff.

The plaintiff is seeking $3,870.19 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by W. Simmons Sandoz of Sandoz Law Offices in Opelousas. The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Paula A. Brown.
