NEW ORLEANS — A Tennessee acquisition company is suing a variety of defendants, alleging they failed to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
Greenbrier Acquisition LLC of Franklin, Tennessee, filed a lawsuit July 15 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against MMO Behavioral Health Systems LLC, Sahara Holding Company Inc., Robert L. Miller, James C. Miller, Christine E. Nichols and Jamie S. Simpson, alleging negligent misrepresentation in breaching a membership purchase agreement.
According to the complaint, Greenbrier has suffered significant financial damages, losses and costs because the defendants failed to provide any meaningful or appropriately detailed documentation, made false and misleading financial statements and retained possession of various properties of the consolidated companies.
Greenbrier Acquisition seeks a trial by jury, all damages, an order requiring the defendants to immediately deliver all funds held in escrow, attorney fees and such other relief deemed just and equitable. It is represented by attorneys Brent B. Barriere, Alysson Mills and Rebecca Sha of Fushman Haygood LLP in New Orleans.
