GRETNA – A community college claims that a former student failed to pay for attending.
The Louisiana Community and Technical College System through Delgado Community College filed a suit against Jaya A. Jones in the 24th Judicial District Court on July 27.
According to the claim, the plaintiff admitted the defendant as a student to the college in spring 2014. The suit states that the defendant is indebted to the plaintiff for more than $1,300.
The defendant is accused of open account through failure to pay.
The plaintiff is seeking $1,337.12 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Rokeya J. Morris of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.
The case has been assigned to Division E Judge John J. Molaison Jr.
