Individual seeks damages against Tulane University following a car accident

NEW ORLEANS – An individual is seeking damages following a car accident on Tulane University property.

AJA Scott filed a suit against The Administrators of the Tulane Educational Fund, doing business as Tulane University and or the Tulane University of Louisiana, Tulane University Facilities, Corey Ripoll and ABC insurance company in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Aug. 1.

According to the claim, an accident occurred Oct. 1, 2015, in which the plaintiff's car was struck on the passenger's side by the defendant's vehicle, which was being driven by Corey Ripoll.

The defendant is accused of negligence, careless operation of the vehicle and failure to maintain control of the car.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Edward J. Womac Jr. and Guy Parks of the Law Offices of Edward J. Womac Jr. & Associates of New Orleans. 

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge Robin M. Giarrusso.
