Rental company alleges Louisiana production business owes $143,000

NEW ORLEANS — A Texas equipment rental company is suing a Covington production business, alleging it owes back rent of more than $143,000. 

Offshore Rentals LTD, doing business as Tiger Offshore Rentals, filed a lawsuit Aug. 28 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against Gulf Production Company Inc. alleging unpaid debt and unpaid wages in breach of their equipment rental agreement.

According to the complaint, Tiger Offshore has suffered financial damages for not being able to collect the remaining balance plus interest of $143,157.24 owed by Gulf Production. The plaintiffs allege Gulf Production has failed to pay all outstanding unpaid invoices and interest dating back to July 31, 2012..

Offshore Rentals seeks a trial by jury, all owed invoices of $143,157.24, damages, plus legal interest, attorney fees and court costs, and all relief the court deems proper. It is represented by attorney Donna Bramlett Wood of McCarnie, Sistrunk, Anzelmo, Hardy, McDaniel and Welch LLC in New Orleans.
