Student allegedly failed to pay tuition, housing, meals to the University of Louisiana

GRETNA – University of Louisiana at Lafayette claims that a student has failed to pay her debt.

University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through the University of Louisiana at Lafayette filed a suit against Ariel Monique Phenix in the 24th Judicial District Court on Aug. 8.

According to the claim, the defendant enrolled at the university and was to pay for housing and meals. The suit states that the defendant allegedly has failed to make payment for any of the services provided.

The defendant is accused of open account.

The plaintiff is seeking the balance of $3,130.20 to be paid in full, plus interest, plus court costs.The plaintiff is represented by Meghan N. Beal, assistant attorney general of the Louisiana Department of Justice.

The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Stephen C. Grefer.
