Student allegedly hasn't paid Louisiana State University tuition from 2007

GRETNA – Louisiana State University at Alexandria is seeking damages for an open account.

The Louisiana State University system board of supervisors through Louisianan State University at Alexandria filed a suit against Cicero Joseph Patterson in the 24th Judicial District Court on Aug. 8.

According to the claim, the defendant was a student at the school for the spring 2007 semester and incurred charges of more than $750. The suit states that the plaintiff supposedly has not received payment from the defendant.

The defendant is accused of open account against the plaintiff.

The plaintiff is seeking payment of the $750 balance in full, plus interest and associated court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Meghan N. Beal, assistant attorney general for the Louisiana Department of Justice.

The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Stephen C. Grefer.
