Man claims he was threatened by business partner

NEW ORLEANS – A man is seeking damages, claiming that his clinic was threatened by a business partner.

Mark Callender and Clinical Consultants of Louisiana LLC filed a suit against Dimitri Dermatology APMC, E.M. Dimitri D.O. LLC APMC, EM Dimitri D.O. Professional Medical Corp., Elizabeth Dimitri and Southern Louisiana Medical Group LLC in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Aug. 15.

According to the claim, the plaintiff agreed to work as a physician's assistant with the defendants for compensation. The suit states that the plaintiff opened a clinic of his own, but that the defendants took money from that clinic through billing fees and training fees. The defendant threatened the plaintiff, demanding that he close the clinic or bear the consequences.

The defendant is accused of breach of the Louisiana Unfair Trade Practices Act, unjust enrichment, detrimental reliance and fraud.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Galen M. Hair and John E. Bicknell Jr.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Kern. A Reese.
