GRETNA – A Jefferson Parish business and a representative allege they were over charged for legal services.
Harris Builders LLC and Lloyd Harris, individually, filed a suit against Shields Mott LLC and Lloyd N. Shields, Andrew G. Vicknair, Jeff Pratinni and Jessica R. Derenbecker, ABC insurance company in the 24th Judicial District Court.
According to the claim, the plaintiffs and defendants entered into a contract in which the defendants agreed to deliver legal services to the plaintiffs. The suit states that the defendants, however, failed to deliver the caliber of work promised and profited from unjust enrichment by charging excessive fees.
The defendants are accused of breach of contract, unjust enrichment, negligence, fraud and misrepresentation.
The plaintiff are seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiffs are represented by John-Michael Lawrence of New Orleans.
