Redevelopment Authority alleges couple did not improve property per agreement

NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Redevelopment Authority is seeking damages for an alleged breach of contract.

New Orleans Redevelopment Authority filed a suit against Catina J. Williams, wife of/and Kent A. Williams in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court.

According to the claim, the defendants acquired a Springlake Drive, New Orleans property in 2012, with the understanding that they would complete a number of improvements and repair to the property in exchange for a reduced sale price. The suit states that the defendants have failed to make the repairs that they agreed to.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract through failure to deliver what they agreed to.

The plaintiff is seeking $10,000 damages. The plaintiff is represented by Victoria Hines of New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Christopher J. Bruno.
