Orleans Parish residents alleged to owe $30,000

NEW ORLEANS – Two Orleans Parish individuals are alleged to owe on promissory note.

Thomas Fowler Sr. and Richard Sykes filed a suit against Robert and Cynthia Martin in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court.

According to the claim, the defendants entered into a contract with Foundation Elevation & Repair LLC for a promissory note for $30,000, but have failed to make any payments on that note. The suit states the note's rights and interested were transferred to the plaintiffs in 2014.

The defendants are accused of breach of contract.

The plaintiffs are seeking the amount due in damages. They are represented by Seth J. Smiley, Bradley Aldrich and Matt Thomas of the Wolfe Law Group in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge Clare Jupiter.
