Woman claims scale at Central City Health Services caused her to fall

NEW ORLEANS – A woman claims that she fell due to a medical center's negligence.

Lorraine Young filed a suit against Central City Health Services in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was at the property owned by the defendant, located at 221 Phillip St., on July 17, 2015, when the incident occurred. The suit states that the plaintiff was caused to slip and fall while exiting the medical office at the property because of a scale, resulting in her personal injuries.

The defendant is accused of negligence through failure to maintain the premises in a safe condition and overall negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. She is represented by A. J. Rebennack of Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge Sidney H. Cates IV.
