NEW ORLEANS – A Terrebonne Parish man claims he injured his knee, hand and thumb while on the job and has filed suit for damages.

Bradley Beauchaine filed a complaint on Aug. 24 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against Enterprise Marine Services LLC and ABC insurance company claiming an unsafe work environment.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 4, 2015, he was working aboard defendant Enterprise Marine's vessel the Ryan when he slipped and fell while scrubbing the vessel. He alleges the incident caused him disabling injuries that resulted in physical disability, mental pain and anguish and embarrassment.

The plaintiff holds Enterprise Marine Services LLC and ABC insurance company responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provide a safe place to work, with safe gear and appurtenances, equipment, and with an adequate crew and a seaworthy vessel.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants in the sum of $3,000,000, with legal interest; wages, maintenance and cure in the sum of $100,000; compensatory damages as well as attorneys' fees; and for other relief available to him. He is represented by C. Arlen Braud II, Michelle O. Gallagher and Steven D. Jackson of Braud & Gallagher LLC in Mandeville.
