NEW ORLEANS – A man is seeking damages, claiming that he fell due to poor lighting in an Orleans Parish stadium.
John J. Hazard III filed a suit against Louisiana Stadium and Exposition District, SMG, John Doe 1, John Doe 2 and XYZ insurance company in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court.
According to the claim, the plaintiff was a guest at the Smoothie King Center on April 10, 2015, when the incident occurred. The suit states that due to low lighting, the plaintiff was caused to slip and fall on some steps that were wet as he was attempt to exit his section.
The defendants are accused of negligence to keep the area in a reasonably safe condition.
The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. He is represented by Matthew H. Kittok of New Orleans.
The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Kern A. Reese.
