Tom's Marine & Salvage alleges it is owed for salvaging services

GRETNA – A Jefferson Parish company alleges it was not paid for salvaging work.

Tom's Marine & Salvage filed a suit against Creative Construction LLC in the 24th Judicial District Court on Aug. 24.

According to the claim, the plaintiff and defendant entered into a work agreement in June in which the plaintiff provided salvaging services to the defendant for a certain price. The suit states that the defendant is indebted to the plaintiff for $25,000 but has failed to make any payments on that amount.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract for failing to pay the necessary amount in a timely manner.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Jonathan B. Andry of the Andry Law Group in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Michael P. Mentz.
