G&H Electric LLC alleges it is owed more than $68,000 for project work

NEW ORLEANS – A subcontractor alleges it was not paid for electrical work done on a project.

G&H Electric LLC filed a suit against The McDonnel Group LLC, Archer Wester Contractors LTD, Travelers Casualty and Surety Co. of America and Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Sept. 2.

According to the claim, the plaintiff, The McDonnel Group LLC and Archer Wester Contractors LTD entered into an oral agreement in which the plaintiff agreed to do labor on the property of 821 S. Broad St. The suit states that though the plaintiff completed the work and filed the invoice to the defendant, the defendants have failed to pay the balance due, which is more than $68,000.

The defendants are accused of breach of subcontract agreement.

The plaintiff is seeking $68,205.50 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by David Vicknair and Brad P. Scott of Scott, Sevin and Vicknair of Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Regina Bartholomew Woods.
