NEW ORLEANS – A law firm is seeking damages for more than $53,000 from a client.

Lowe, Stein, Hoffman, Allweiss & Hauver LLP filed a suit against Kristine Berger in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court.

According to the claim, the defendant is financially obligated to the plaintiff for more than $53,000. The suit states that the defendant has failed to make payment despite demands from the plaintiff.

The defendant is accused of open account against the plaintiff.

The plaintiff is seeking $53,930.71 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Gerald Wasserman and Leonard M. Berins of Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Piper D. Griffin.
