River Garden Apartments tenant alleges wet floor caused fall

NEW ORLEANS – A man is seeking damages following a fall in his apartment complex.

Timothy Hamilton filed a suit against River Garden Homes LLC, HRI Properties LLC, HRI Management LLC, HRIP Holdings LLC and Lexington Insurance Co. in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was a tenant of the defendant's at the River Garden Apartments. The suit states that the plaintiff was caused to slip and fall when he encountered a portion of floor that had been left wet after mopping.

The defendants are accused of negligence through failing to warn the tenants of the present danger.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Darleen M. Jacobs, Al Sarrat and Rene Lovelace of New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Tiffany G. Chase.
