Lawyer alleges he is owed more than $20,000 for legal services

GRETNA – A lawyer claims that he was not paid in full for his representational services.

Robert T. Garrity Jr. filed a suit against Derrick Shepherd in the 24th Judicial District Court on Sept. 30.

According to the claim, the plaintiff represented the defendant and did a successful job of the representation. The suit states that the plaintiff has not been paid for his work, however, and is still owed more than $20,000.

The defendant is accused of failing to pay in full for the funds owed.

The plaintiff is seeking $20,185.50 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Wayne T. Crochet of Harahan.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Raymond S. Steib Jr.
