NEW ORLEANS – Delgado Community College is seeking damages for a student who allegedly failed to pay.
The Louisiana Community and Technical College System through Delgado Community College filed a suit against James Ackerson in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court.
According to the claim, the plaintiff issued services to the defendant that were valued at more than $1,000 in 2012, and the defendant has failed to pay back the balance due to the plaintiff.
The defendant is accused of open account against the plaintiff.
The plaintiff is seeking $1,085.70 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Scott L. Smith Jr. of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.
The case has been assigned to Division E Judge Clare Jupiter.
