American Express Centurion Bank claims cardholder owes more than $56,000

NEW ORLEANS – American Express Centurion Bank is seeking damages for an allegedly open account.

American Express Centurion Bank filed a suit against Gary Watson in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Sept. 8.

According to the claim, the plaintiff issued a credit card to the defendant. The suit states that the defendant accumulated more than $56,000 in charges to the card and failed to pay off the balance.

The plaintiff is seeking $56,367.54 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Elizabeth L. Hyman, Bradley J. Chauvin, Benjamin G. Lambert, Sarena Y. Gaylor, Remy F. Symons, Jeremy L. Nusloch, Randall C. Roth and Blake J. Guidry of Couch, Conville & Blitt in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Ethel S. Julien.
