LAKE CHARLES – A Texas man operating a website covering the country music industry alleges a Carencro radio station used his work without permission.

Kyle Stephen Coroneos, doing business as Saving Country Music, filed a complaint on Oct. 10 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, Lake Charles Division against Delta Media Corp. and Erik Tobias citing copyright infringement and unfair competition.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he has suffered and will continue to suffer irreparable harm for all gains and profits realized by the defendants. The plaintiff holds Delta Media Corp and Erik Tobias responsible because the defendants allegedly directly infringed at least 85 of plaintiff's copyrighted works without permission on the website www.mustang1071.com and falsely represented they are affiliated with the plaintiff.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks permanent injunction against defendants from directly or indirectly infringing plaintiff’s copyrighted works, award for damages of no event less than $150,000 per work infringed, costs and expenses of this action and for such other relief as the court deems proper. He is represented by Joe D. Calhoun of Calhoun Law Firm in Little Rock, Arkansas and Andrea Albright Crawford of Scofield, Gerard, Pohorelsky, Gallaugher & Landry in Lake Charles.
