NEW ORLEANS – A student is being sued for an allegedly open account.
Louisiana Community and Technical College System through Delgado Community College filed a suit against Bennie A. Lashley Jr. in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Oct. 14.
According to the claim, the plaintiff admitted the defendant into the institution for the semester of spring 2014. The suit states that the defendant has failed to pay off more than $1,800 in charges.
The defendant is accused of open account.
The plaintiff is seeking $1,826.16 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Meghan N. Beal of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.
The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Tiffany G. Chase.
