Capital One Bank alleges cardholder owes more than $3,000

GRETNA – Capital One Bank is seeking more than $3,000 for an open account.

Capital One Bank filed a suit against Patricia S. Buford in the 24th Judicial District Court on Oct. 31.

According to the claim, the plaintiff issued a credit card to the defendant. The suit states that the defendant used the card for more than $3,000 worth of purchases, but failed to pay off the balance.

The defendant is accused of open account against the plaintiff.

The plaintiff is seeking $3,075.02 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Bradley J. Chauvin, Benjamin G. Lambert, Sarena Y. Gaylor, Remy F. Symons, Elizabeth L. Hyman, Jeremy L. Nusloch and Randall C. Roth of Couch, Conville & Blitt in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Scott U. Schlegel.
