Law money 01

NEW ORLEANS – One current and one former employee of a field and pipeline service company allege that they were misclassified as being except from receiving overtime pay.

Richard G. Bruchi and Todd J. Walker filed a complaint on Oct. 21 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against Audubon Field Solutions LLC alleging that the employer violated the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they regularly worked for more than 40 hours in a workweek but were not paid overtime wages. The plaintiffs holds Audubon Field Solutions LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly misclassified them as exempt from the overtime requirements of the FLSA and failed to compensate them for all hours worked in excess of 40 per week at a rate not less than one-and-one-half times their regular rate.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek compensation for back pay plus litigation costs, expenses, and attorneys’ fees, prejudgment interest and such other and further relief as the court deems proper. They are represented by Christopher L. Williams of Williams Litigation LLC in New Orleans.
