NEW ORLEANS — Jones Walker LLP, one of the 120 largest law firms in the U.S., is adding 11 associates to its Louisiana and Texas offices.
“We have recruited an excellent group of associates and we are very proud to have them join our Jones Walker team,” Amy Scafidel, chair of the firm’s hiring committee, told Louisiana Record.
Michael Foley will join the labor and employment practice group in the New Orleans office. Foley was a law clerk for the Honorable Brian Jackson, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana, and also the Honorable Bernette Johnson, Chief Justice of the Louisiana Supreme Court.
Jessica Allain will join the business and commercial litigation practice group in Lafayette. Allain will focus on commercial litigation, real property litigation, construction law and appellate law.
Samantha Schott and Mike Boyd will join the business and commercial litigation practice group in the New Orleans office. Schott worked as a law clerk to the Honorable Jay C. Zainey of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. While in law school, Schott served as an intern for Judge Madeleine Landrieu of the Louisiana Fourth Circuit Court of Appeal.
Thomas Kimball and Elisabeth LeBlanc will join the corporate and securities practice group in the New Orleans office. LeBlanc served as a judicial extern to Judge Fredericka Homberg Wicker at the Louisiana Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal.

Tiffany Raush joins the business and commercial litigation practice group in the Houston office. Raush’s practice includes complex commercial and tort litigation.
Christopher Ulfers joins the admiralty and maritime practice group in the New Orleans office. Ulfers interned for Chief Judge Brian A. Jackson of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana and served as a judicial law clerk for Judge Susie Morgan of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.
Matthew Usdin and Jane White will join the business and commercial transactions practice group in the New Orleans office. Usdin interned for Judge Susie Morgan of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana and also served as a legal assistant for Mubadala Development Co. in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Justin Ward joins the corporate and securities practice group in the Baton Rouge office. While in law school, Ward was a member of the Louisiana Law Review and received the CALI Award for Louisiana Civil Torts and UCC Article 9 Securities Devices.
