Rayville attorney claims he was not paid for legal services

NEW ORLEANS – A Rayville attorney is seeking damages, claiming that he was not paid for his services.

John Hoychick Jr. filed a suit against the succession of Irealous J. Hunter through succession administratrix Dianne A. Guy, in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Nov. 3.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was employed by the defendant to open and complete the succession. The suit states that the defendant failed to pay the plaintiff for his work, despite written demands being made.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. He is representing himself.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Ethel S. Julien.
