NEW ORLEANS – A community college is seeking damages for an allegedly open account.
Louisiana Community and Technical College System through Sowela Technical Community College filed a suit against Joe Bell in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Nov. 17.
According to the claim, the plaintiff allowed the defendant to receive goods and services for the fall 2012 semester. The suit states that the defendant failed to pay what he owed, totaling more than $1,000.
The defendant is accused of open account against the plaintiff.
The plaintiff is seeking $1,025.34 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Scott L. Smith Jr. of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.
The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Regina Bartholomew Woods.
