Woman alleges man struck her in face at Murphy's Brewhouse

GRETNA – A Murphy's Brewhouse guest alleges she was struck in the face by another patron.

Kathleen Walker filed a suit against Henry P. Cousins and ABC insurance company in the 24th Judicial District Court on Dec. 5.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was a guest at Murphy's Brewhouse at 505 Gretna Blvd. when she was assaulted by Cousins, who struck her in the face and caused her to fall.

The defendant is accused of assaulting the plaintiff, battery and intentional acts of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by David M. Hufft of Pivach, Pivach, Hufft, Thriffiley & Dunbar in Belle Chasse.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge John J. Molaison Jr.
