Bank group alleges promissory note customer owes more than $26,000

GRETNA – A bank association alleges a promissory note customer owes more than $26,000.

U.S. Bank NA, as indenture trustee for CIM Trust 2016-5 Mortgage-backed notes Series 2016-5, filed a suit Dec. 2 against Muriel Croon, also known as Muriel T. Croon, Muriel Thomas, and Muriel Thomas Croon, in 24th Judicial District Court, alleging failure to pay off a promissory note.

According to the claim, U.S. Bank is the holder of a promissory issued to Croon for $80,000. The suit states Croon has failed to pay off $26,031.14, plus interest, on the promissory note.

U.S. Bank seeks the unpaid fees, attorney fees and costs of court. It is represented by attorney L. Clair Mayor of Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division O Judge Danyelle M. Taylor.
