NEW ORLEANS – A UPS worker is suing the employers of a cleaning woman, alleging her negligence caused injuries to the plaintiff.

Keri Robicheaux filed a lawsuit Dec. 13 against Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, Platinum Cleaning of Indianapolis LLC , Miledy Orozcho, the Charter Oak Fire Insurance Company and Hertz Investment Group LLC in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging negligence.

According to the claim, on Dec. 17, 2015, the defendant's cleaning cart caused Robicheaux, who was working for United Parcel Services with a dolly carrying 350 pounds of deliveries, to be pinned to an elevator wall at the Energy Centre in New Orleans. The suit says the incident caused injuries to the plaintiff, leading to physical pain, mental anguish and loss of future earnings.

The defendant is accused of negligently failed to consider the danger the plaintiff was in and failure to act with appropriate care.

Robicheaux seeks all appropriate damages, court costs and attorney fees. She is represented by attorneys from Wolfe, Begoun and Pick LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Paulette R. Irons.
