GRETNA – A Jefferson Parish man is suing his former employers, alleging their negligence caused him to develop a lesion.

Anthony Territo filed a lawsuit Dec. 16 against Chevron USA Inc, Shell Oil Company, Shell Offshore Inc, Swepit LP, BP Products North America Inc, BP America Production Company, Atlantic Richfield Company, Intracoastal Tubular Services Inc and OFS Inc. in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was employed by the defendants and was required to work around pipes. The suit says Territo was unaware the pipes were dangerous. The suit states he was exposed to dangerous amounts of radiation in his work and was caused to develop a lesion.

The defendants are accused of negligently failing to warn the plaintiff of the danger or provide Territo with the appropriate protection.

Territo seeks exemplary damages, plus court costs. He is represented by attorneys Jarrett Falcon, Jeremiah A. Sprague and Timothy J. Falcon of Falcon Law Firm in Marrero.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Raymond S. Steib Jr.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case number 767469.
