LAFAYETTE – An Oklahoma corporation claims it was not paid for expenses incurred in a well operation.
Mack Energy Co. filed a complaint on Dec. 8 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, Lafayette Division against Red Stick Energy LLC, Thomas A. Burnet and Main Pass 21 LLC alleging breach of agreement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it has suffered damages for the costs expended for the drilling, testing, plugging and abandoning Mack Energy's Well No. 1 in the amount of $308,669.04, which Red Stick had a shared interest in. The plaintiff holds Red Stick Energy LLC, Burnet and Main Pass 21 LLC responsible because the defendants allegedly failed and refused to make full payment for the balance account.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants in the sum of $308,669.04, plus contractual interest, attorney's fees, all costs of these proceedings and such other relief as is just.
