Community college seeks nearly $1,000 for unpaid balance

NEW ORLEANS – A community college is seeking nearly $1,000 in damages for an unpaid balance.

Louisiana Community and Technical College System, through Delgado Community College, filed a lawsuit Oct. 17 against Danielle Renee Gardner and 114 Magazine Operating Company LLC ,as garnishee, in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging failure to pay for services rendered.

According to the complaint, 114 Magazine Operating Company LLC possesses property or effects belonging to the Gardner and should be made to answer under oath for the charges that Gardner is indebted to the plaintiff for $973.25.

The defendant is accused of failing to pay the plaintiff what was owed.

The plaintiff seeks $973.25 in damages and is represented by attorney Rokeya J. Morris of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Christopher J. Bruno.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case number 16-10304.
