Capital One alleges church owes more than $50,000

NEW ORLEANS – Capital One is suing a church, alleging it has failed to pay back more than $50,000 for a line of credit.

Capital One National Association filed a lawsuit Jan. 9 against Abundant Life Baptist Church in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging failure to pay back a loan.

According to the complaint, Capital One issued a line of credit to Abundant Life, an advance of $51,347.63, but the defendant has failed to pay back any of the loan.

Capital One NA seeks all reasonable sums due and damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. It is represented by attorney Bradley J. Chauvin.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Paulette R. Irons.
