Patient blames dentist for discomfort

NEW ORLEANS – A patient is suing a dentist, alleging a dental procedure left him in pain.

Justo E. Rogue Jr. filed a lawsuit Jan. 10 against Dr. Douglas Cross and Excelth/Dental Clinic in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging medical malpractice.

According to the complaint, Cross has failed to treat Rogue with the proper standard of care. The suit says a procedure completed by Cross resulted in irritation in the plaintiff's gums, long periods of pain and discomfort.

The defendant is accused of medical malpractice through failing to take the proper action as a medical professional.

Rogue seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is representing himself in court.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge Sidney H. Cates IV.
