Advanced Medical Rehab, Capital Business Solutions accused of unlawfully withholding wages

NEW ORLEANS – Two former employees are suing their former employers over allegations they are owed unpaid wages.

Cherissa Cabahug and Gina Ramos filed a complaint on Jan. 9 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against Advanced Medical Rehab LLC, Michelle Seiler-Tucker and Capital Business Solutions LLC alleging that the employers violated the Fair Labor Standards Act and the Louisiana’s Last Paycheck Act Law.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that as a result of defendants' alleged actions, they suffered a loss of income and other damages, including emotional stress injuries. The plaintiffs holds Advanced Medical Rehab LLC, Seiler-Tucker and Capital Business Solutions LLC responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay proper wages, unlawfully withheld plaintiffs' final salaries, commissions and bonuses and failed to timely pay all wages and monies due and owed at the termination of their employment.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek to recover unpaid wages, plus interest, liquidated damages, attorney’s fees and costs and such other declaratory and injunctive relief. They are represented by Dorothy L. Tarver of Taggart Morton LLC in New Orleans.
