GRETNA – A customer is suing a Kenner casino, alleging the defendant's negligence caused her to be injured.

Angie Robertson of Jefferson Parish filed a lawsuit Jan. 27 against Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company and Metro Gaming and Amusement Company in 24th Judicial District Court, alleging negligence.

According to the claim, Robertson was a patron of the Kenner Airport Casino, 181 W. Airline Drive, Kenner, which was owned and controlled by Metro Gaming. The suit states Robertson was walking to the front entrance when she was caused to slip and fall due to the defective state of the property. The suit says she suffered tissue and muscle damage to her neck, back, knees and other parts of her body.

Metro Gaming is accused of negligently failing to maintain the building in a safe manner, failing to discover a dangerous condition and failing to warn of the danger.

Robertson seeks all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. She is represented by attorney DaShawn Hayes of The Hayes Law Firm PLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge John J. Molaison Jr.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case number 768507.
