Shoring company alleges customer owes nearly $30,000

NEW ORLEANS – A shoring company is suing a customer, alleging she has failed to pay nearly $30,000.

Southern Elevation and Shoring Inc., filed a lawsuit Feb. 8 against Erika Malone in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging failure to pay in a timely manner and breach of contract.

According to the complaint, Southern Elevation and Malone entered into an agreement for a shoring contract and the defendant executed a promissory note for $29,900. The suit states Malone has failed to pay off the balance that she owed and is still indebted to the plaintiff for the full sum of the promissory note.

Southern Elevation and Shoring seeks all sums owed, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. It is represented by attorneys R. Scott Buhrer and Lauren K. Marquette of Buhrer Law Firm in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge Robin M. Giarrusso.
