LAFAYETTE – An Iberia Parish business alleges it has not been paid for services it provided.
Fluid Crane Construction Inc. filed a complaint on Feb. 14 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, Lafayette Division against Loadmaster Universal Rigs Inc. alleging that the foreign corporation failed to perform its obligations under the agreement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that between Nov. 20, 2015, and Sept. 26, 2016, it provided construction equipment and personnel to defendant's project on an open account agreement. An outstanding balance of $1,260,104 remains due and unpaid, the suit states. The plaintiff holds Loadmaster Universal Rigs Inc. responsible because despite receipt of itemized statements for services rendered by plaintiff and repeated amicable demands for payment, defendant allegedly failed to make payments towards the amount owed.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for the sum of $1,260,104, plus interest, attorney's fees and costs and such other relief as justice may require. It is represented by Robert M. Kallam and Brian J. Lindsey of Preis PLC in Lafayette.
