NEW ORLEANS – A Louisiana woman is suing New Orleans property owners, alleging their negligence caused her to be injured when she fell down steps.
Paula Robichaux filed a lawsuit Feb. 2 against Richard Towbridge, American Property Management Group LLC and Certain Underwriters at Lloyd's London in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, on March 2, 2016, Robichaux was at the defendants' property, 2027 Pace Blvd., New Orleans. The suit says she stepped on a defective tile on a step, which caused her to fall down the steps and suffer injuries to her neck, back and parts of her body.
The lawsuit says an inspection of the property on Feb. 23, 2016, had failed to locate the defective tile.
The defendants are accused of negligently failing to ensure that the property was safe, failing to find the defective tile during the inspection and failing to properly warn guests of the danger.
Robichaux seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. She is represented by attorney Adam A. Bosso of Morris Bart LLC in New Orleans.
The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Piper D. Griffin.
