GRETNA – Discover Bank is suing a credit card customer, alleging he owes more than $5,300.
Discover Bank filed a suit March 2 against Willie B. Smith in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging an open account.
According to the claim, Discover issued a credit card to Smith who used the card to make $5,388.66 in purchases and has failed to pay the plaintiff the balance owed.
Discover Bank seeks all sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Blake J. Guidry of Couch, Conville & Blitt LLC in New Orleans.
The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Nancy A. Miller.
