Midfirst Bank sues over overdue promissory note

NEW ORLEANS – A bank is seeking damages for a promissory note in order to recover a mortgage debt.

Midfirst Bank filed a lawsuit Feb. 14 against Clement G. Carter Jr., and Clement G. Carter Sr. in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging sums due.

According to the complaint, the defendants are indebted to the plaintiff for the balance of $112,649.45, following their failure to pay off the original balance of $124,706.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney J. Donald Morgan of Kizer, Hood and Morgan LLP in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Melvin Zeno.
