GRETNA – Capital One is seeking to recover a customer's credit card debt.
Capital One Bank (USA) N.A. filed a suit March 6 against James C. Phillips of Metairie in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging open account.
According to the claim, the plaintiff issued a credit card to the defendant. The defendant used the card to make $4,471.54 in charges and failed to pay them off.
The defendant is accused of an open account against the plaintiff.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The bank is represented by Jeffrey M. Toepfer of Couch, Conville & Blitt LLC in New Orleans.
The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Michael P. Mentz.
