University of New Orleans seeks damages for an unpaid balance

GRETNA – A university is seeking damages for an open account.

The University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through University of New Orleans filed a suit March 20 against Ashley N. Weber of Jefferson Parish in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging suit on a promissory note.

According to the claim, the plaintiff issued goods and/or services to the defendant for the amount of $1,496.81. The suit states that the defendant has failed to pay off the balance owed to the plaintiff.

The defendant is accused of open account against the plaintiff.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Wendy Ranmarine of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Raymond S. Steib Jr.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case number 770180.
