Bank sues to collect over $5,000 on line of credit

NEW ORLEANS – A bank and trust is seeking damages for an open account.

Liberty Bank and Trust Co. filed a lawsuit March 13 against Christopher Gobert in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging open account.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff issued a line of credit to the defendant for the amount of $5,553.72. The defendant has failed to pay off the balance plus interest.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Joseph Fick Jr. of Newman, Mathis, Brady & Spedale in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Melvin Zeno.
