NEW ORLEANS – Fishing vessel passengers allege they were injured when the boat collided with a crew boat.
Patrick A. Beck, individually and as the father and administrator of the estate of his minor son, C. D. B.; Tracy L. Edwards; Justin McCarthy; Michael Harrell; and Charles N. “Nick” Siria filed a complaint on March 24 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against TK Boat Rentals LLC; Andre D. Boudreau; Troy Wetzel, doing business as Louisiana Offshore Fishing Charters; Extreme Fishing LLC; Chase B. St. Clair; and GEICO Marine Insurance Co. alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Feb. 12, 2017, the plaintiffs were passengers on a fishing vessel owned by defendant St. Clair and being operated by Boudreau, an employee of Wetzel, when the vessel violently collided with the M/V Miss Ida, a crew boat owned by defendant TK Boat Rentals. As a result, the suit states the plaintiffs sustained severe injuries, resulting in physical pain, mental anguish, anxiety and medical expenses.
The plaintiffs seek judgment in their favor for all amounts reasonable under the premises, interest, costs of these proceedings and all general and equitable relief as the court may deem appropriate. They are represented by Irving J. Warshauer of Gainsburgh, Benjamin, David, Meunier & Warshauer LLC in New Orleans.
