GRETNA – A university is seeking payment on an unpaid note.
University of Louisiana system board of supervisors through University of New Orleans filed a suit April 11 against Shawanah A. Parker of Jefferson Parish in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging sums due.
According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking payment of a promissory note for the balance of $3,790.98 plus interest.
The defendant is accused of failing to pay off the sums due.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Meghan N. Beal of Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.
The case has been assigned to Division H Judge Glenn B. Ansardi.
